BETA DISCLAIMER: This tool is in beta as a personal hobby project. It is a conceptual tool designed for planning and educational purposes, using assumptions and fixed variables to simulate the impacts of sun, shade, and diffuse light. It has not been fully vetted for real-world edge cases, precise temperature coefficients, or strict system wiring losses. Always consult a certified professional before building a physical system.

Solar Optimizer
Design your roof. Wire panels to MPPTs, but beware series shading!
MPPT Limits: 120V-450V, Max 22A, Max 5500W.
1. Place Components: Select Panel or MPPT Hub from the Build Tools and click on the grid to place them. Note the orientation zones (N, S, E, W) representing different roof planes.
2. Wire Your System: Click Wire, click a Panel, and then click another Panel or MPPT to connect them. Avoid branching (Y-splits). Ensure strings meet MPPT voltage and amperage limits.
3. Handle Shading: Place Trees to simulate dynamic shading across the day. Add Optimizers to shaded panels to prevent them from dropping the voltage and bottlenecking the rest of the string.
4. Simulate: Adjust the Environment (season, weather, inverter) and Battery settings in the sidebars. Click RUN SIMULATION.
5. Analyze: Watch the live output graphs, toggle your heavy appliance to test battery resilience, check the end-of-day heatmap for underperforming panels, export a snapshot, and reset to refine your design!
